About Aaron
I’ve been in construction since 2019 and specifically in roofing since 2021, with most of my experience in the Pacific Northwest. Before starting Raven Roofing, I worked as a roofing insurance adjuster — inspecting storm damage, writing scopes, and seeing firsthand the difference between quality workmanship and shortcuts. That experience taught me how roofs actually fail, how insurance claims are handled, and what homeowners genuinely need versus what they often get sold.
I eventually left the insurance side because I wanted to build something meaningful — both physically and as a business. I’d always wanted to be a small business owner, and moving to Oregon gave me the chance to build the kind of company I’d hoped for since the start.
How I ended up in Oregon
My wife and I moved here from Michigan in 2023. We have family in Bend, Portland, Salem, and Vancouver, and after visiting for a wedding — traveling through the mountains and along the coast — we knew this was where we wanted to spend the rest of our lives.
So we made a plan, packed up, and moved.
Coming to Oregon has been one of the best experiences of our lives. We love the nature, the people, the communities, and the chance to build an Oregon-owned, Oregon-focused business that serves homeowners the right way. Outside of work, you’ll find me rock climbing, paddleboarding, playing pickleball, or hiking somewhere in the Cascades.
My role at Raven Roofing
Day-to-day, I focus on the administrative, operational, and customer side of the business — inspections, estimating, communication, systems, scheduling, and making sure homeowners feel taken care of from the first call through the final walkthrough.
I’m the person you’ll meet at your free estimate. I’m the person you’ll talk to about scope, materials, and pricing. And I’m the person you’ll call if something needs attention after we leave.
I care deeply about relationships, doing good work in the local community, and building a company that people genuinely trust. I’m operationally focused, but I also love to laugh, joke around, and create a positive experience for both our customers and our team.
Working with Josh
Josh and I are a great balance. I focus heavily on business operations, customer experience, systems, and communication. Josh focuses heavily on production, field operations, technical details, and making sure projects are built correctly.
We both care deeply about family, relationships, craftsmanship, and doing work we can be proud of. We also like to joke around and have fun while doing great work. Our goal is to build incredible roofs, pay attention to every detail, and create a company homeowners enjoy working with.
What I’d want a homeowner to know
Roofing is about more than putting shingles on a house. A roof is a system — materials, ventilation, flashing, nailing, underlayment, drainage, and workmanship all have to work together, and a roof is only as good as its weakest point.
My goal is to help homeowners make intelligent decisions, get the best possible value for their budget, and end up with a roof they’re proud of years after the project is complete.
